Three Yorkshire brass bands will unite at Huddersfield Town Hall for an afternoon of music.

On Saturday, October 24, Brighouse & Rastrick Band, Marsden Band and Skelmanthorpe Band, join forces at Huddersfield Town Hall for “Vivace!”, a spectacular massed bands concert conducted by Dr David Thornton.

A spokesperson for Brighouse & Rastrick Band said: “This concert is more than a showcase for outstanding brass playing.

"It celebrates music’s ability to create pictures without scenery, tell stories without words and stir emotions ranging from laughter and exhilaration to tenderness and awe.

“It is also a celebration of Yorkshire’s proud brass band tradition. Brighouse & Rastrick, Marsden and Skelmanthorpe bring generations of musical heritage, skill and community spirit to the stage.

“Audiences can expect to leave Huddersfield Town Hall having travelled through cities, carnivals, mountains, opera houses, open skies, western landscapes and Broadway streets, without ever leaving their seats.”
