There will be no excuse for keeping a straight face at Halifax Film Society’s next presentation. The society is showing a selection of much-loved rib-ticklers at its Classic comedy Night on Sunday, December 14 at 7.30pm. Showing at Halifax Playhouse are Harold Lloyd’s best-received sound film ‘Move Crazy - 1932’, which will form the main feature for the evening. It tells the story of an aspiring movie star who exchanges the quiet life in Kansas for studio glamour. Also being screened are Laurel and Hardy’s ‘Laughing Gravy’ and Charlie Chaplin’s ‘Tinseltown’.
