Mayor opened the new Pets at Home store in Brighouse
He opened the store on Bradford Road before taking part in a guided VIP tour of the facilities, last Friday.
Natalie Mason, store manager, said: “What a fantastic start! Our opening weekend went even better than we had hoped and it was great to welcome Councillor Howard Blagbrough show him the new amenities that we have on offer at the store.

All of the staff at the new store receive extensive training on pet care and pet knowledge which is endorsed by City & Guilds, providing a stamp of approval that demonstrates the value of its training.
Colleagues at the Brighouse store are dedicated to providing the highest levels of pet care, and are trained to offer great pet care tips and product knowledge.
Pets at Home in Brighouse is home to an Adoption Centre, run by independent charity, Support Adoption For Pets, where pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small animals are cared for until a new loving home can be found.

Hide AdBrighouse’s shiny new store includes a Groom Room which provides a wide range of grooming options including microchipping, nail clipping, hair trims or a full bath and blow dry.
All Groom Room Colleagues receive 1,400 hours of training and all salons, including Brighouse, are independently awarded a Grooming Gold Standard by SAI Global.
A Vets4Pets practice has also opened in the new store and will be ensuring that pets are kept healthy and happy by treating them in the new, fully equipped surgery, which houses an operating theatre, digital X-ray facilities and much more.
