FC Halifax Town: Cooper, Duckworth and Sho-Silva all leave The Shaymen
All three were offered new deals after their contracts expired, but the trio have decided to find new clubs.
Duckworth joined Town in 2017 when he was signed by Billy Heath upon Halifax’s return to the fifth tier, and although he has struggled with injuries at times, has been one of Town’s most consistent performers over the last three seasons at right-back and right wing-back.

Hide AdHe recovered from a dislocated shoulder to take part in Town’s play-off defeat at Boreham Wood.
Sho-Silva joined Town last summer from Dover and scored seven goals in 38 games, including in Town’s 2-1 play-off defeat at Boreham Wood.
Cooper signed for Town in September from Forest Green Rovers and was a regular starter in central midfield, making 30 appearances last season.
They follow the departure of midfielder Cameron King after his two-year contract came to an end and he also turned down the offer of a new deal by The Shaymen.

Hide AdWith goalkeeper Sam Johnson, defender Jay Benn and midfielder Jack Earing understood to be under contract for next season, that leaves defenders Nathan Clarke and Niall Maher, midfielders Jeff King, Josh Staunton and Danny Williams and striker Jamie Allen whose futures remain unresolved at the club, with defender Jacob Hanson and captain Matty Brown both on the transfer list.
