FC Halifax Town: Liam King column
We take a lot more positives than negatives from September. We finished the month well.
We’ve had three wins on the bounce now.
We had an off night at Gainsborough, which we had a lot of criticism about. But that was fair to be honest because it was a bad performance.

I think you saw in the first 10 minutes on Saturday that we started really well.
We’re still gelling as a team but there has to be more gears from us for us to be up there.
It’s a tight league. Top and bottom are miles away from each other this year and a result can take you right into the play-offs.

More to come
It was tough for me when I first came in because I didn’t move for five weeks. I didn’t do any training.
It was like starting pre-season all over again and I hardly moved in the game at Telford.
But I thought I did all right on Saturday. I feel there’s more to come from me.

But I think that’s a bit of rustiness on my part.
Competition has hotted up
I think the Conference North is a tougher division this season. There’s a massive divide between top and bottom.
There’s a lot of teams who can have a chance of going up this year and it’s unlucky it’s fallen like that.
Salford, Darlington, Fylde - they’re all pushing for the same thing as us. We’ve just got to hope we’re up there at the end.
It’s not going to be a walk in the park this league, as we’ve seen already.
It’s a long season, we’re eighth at the minute, but let’s hope we get up there soon,
