Mum’s on hand! Darlington’s Rob Youhill dislocates elbow on Harrogate Railway return and gets shock of life when mum runs onto pitch
Youhill dislocated his elbow as he landed on the turf.
But at his time of need, mum Sharon was on hand as she dashed to his rescue over the advertising hoardings.
“It was massively disappointing for him. He fell awkwardly and his elbow felt the force,” said Railway boss Lee Ashforth.

After the game, Youhill tweeted: “Thanks for all the supportive messages and also for all the banter about @youhill_sharon aka super mum #embarrassing.”
Youhill moved to Darlington from Railway over the summer and linked up with former teammate Nathan Cartman, who he shared a lethal partnership with at Station View.
And it was a happier return to Harrogate for Cartman, who bagged a brace as Darlington won the contest 5-2.
However, Rail’ gave the Quakers a fright in the first half with goals from Stephen Bromley and Roy Fogarty.
