Worcester 1-2 Halifax: Fans Panel verdict
Andrew Mann
Man of the match
Liam King, worked hard and played well, kept a cool head at times when others were getting angry with the referee.
Moment of the match
Worcester pull a goal back from the penalty spot and seconds after the scorer is dismissed for a second bookable offence. Hard to see what for from the far side of the ground.

Hide AdThe referee was very inconsistent, overly keen on handing out cards and spoilt the game at times.
Rob Brown
Man of the match
Tom Denton, he changed the game after coming on at half time and scored the second goal with a great header. Worcester’s defence couldn’t cope with him.
Moment of the match
50th minute, two Worcester defenders and the goalkeeper leave a harmless ball to each other in box, along comes Matty Kosylo and it’s 1-0 to the Shaymen. What a gift.
Moan of the match
The referee lost the plot and seemed to book anyone and everyone. He seemed to be way out of his depth.

Hide AdOur defence looks much more stable since Matty Brown returned to the starting eleven. While he may not be the fastest, his experience and strength makes him invaluable to the team. His partnership with Scott Garner is blossoming as well.
Moment of the match
Tom Denton’s headed goal, in off the bar. The assistant referee raises his flag, but then appears to change his mind. There didn’t seem a lot wrong with it to me, and fortunately we eventually had agreement all round!
Moan of the match
A slow start from the Shaymen, but I suppose it’s the final whistle when I should be judging. Also, a rather odd performance from the referee; one of those who books you as soon as looking at you.
Adam Heslop
Man of the match
Liam King played well today, probably his best match since his return from injury.

Hide AdThe first goal wasn’t a classic by Kosylo but the comedy that led to it was. Two defenders clearly shouted for the keeper to come for the ball, but he clearly didn’t fancy that so all three stood and watched as the Town striker calmly took the ball and put it in the back of the net.
Moan of the match
Football at this level is not always pretty but when the referee stops the match every couple of seconds for no apparent reason, other than to prove he’s in charge, it becomes difficult to watch.
