Cannabis farm of 1,200 plants discovered in Halifax

Police officers in Calderdale discovered a cannabis farm in Halifax town centre on Saturday morning.

Members of the Halifax Neighbourhood policing team found more than 1,200 plants at a premises.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Around 8.04am on Saturday December 10, officers gained entry to premises on Wellington Place, Halifax and located an large amount of cannabis plants.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
