Fire crews were called out through the night to tackle a fire at a West Yorkshire takeaway shop.

The fire broke out around 2.10pm at Waingate, Berry Brow in Huddersfield.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said that crews from Huddersfield and Dewsbury attended the incident and used two hose reels and four fire-fighters with breathing apparatus to put out the blaze which had consumed a 25 by 15 metre area of the building.
