Ex-Town skipper Bower sacked by Guiseley
Former Halifax captain Mark Bower has been sacked by National League side Guiseley.
Bower led Guiseley to safety last season at the expense of Halifax on the last day of the campaign, but has left the club following five defeats in their opening five matches.
Guiseley lost 3-2 at Solihull Moors on Saturday, despite leading 2-1 with 13 minutes remaining.
The club are bottom of National League, with the Lions back in action on Saturday at home to fifth-bottom Bromley.
Assistant manager Danny Boshell has also left the club.
