Shaymen see off Stocksbridge in FA Youth Cup
FC Halifax Town beat Stocksbridge 1-0 in the first qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup in front of 159 fans at The Shay.
The Shaymen went through thanks to a late own goal by Stocksbridge full-back Will Middleton before his team-mate Jack Hudson was sent-off in the last minute for a second yellow card.
Town now progress into the second qualifying round in the week commencing Monday, October 3.
