Lights go on in a rich diversity of dance ...

Calderdale based Annapurna Indian dance will present a vibrant evening on - Diwali Festival Of Indian Lights - at Hebden Bridge Little Theatre on October 22 at 5pm.

Dancers from the Annapurna Indian dance company based in Halifax show rich traditional dances and stories with authentic costumes. The evening will also feauture a special dance project called Morris Natyam a unique performance combining the traditional dances of South India with Northern English Morris.

Shantha Rao, who is artistic director of the dance company, said: “This festival is a fantastic celebration of Indian culture and traditions and it aims to unite communities together.

“It will be a beautiful mix of talented local artists with renowned artists across UK.”

The event is supported by the Community Foundation for Calderdale. Tickets are £7 which includes hot vegetarian food. More information from [email protected]
