Laura Reid is Assistant Editor (Features) at The Yorkshire Post. She trained at the University of Sheffield before joining the Wakefield Express as a reporter in 2015. She became a features writer at The Yorkshire Post in 2018, and took up her latest role in 2022.

Laura, who grew up in Wakefield, oversees and produces features content for the Monday to Friday editions of The Yorkshire Post both in print and online, as well as contributing to the weekly health and environment pages and crafting occasional features for The Yorkshire Post Magazine.

Her work has included coverage around the collapse of Wakefield City Academies Trust, sharing the stories of some of Yorkshire's last surviving Second World War veterans, interviewing celebrities including Nicola Adams, Chris Moyles, Michael Morpurgo and Nina Wadia, and exploring Yorkshire's, film, television and creative industries.
