Artists and crafters are hosting two events on consecutive days early next week.

At 7pm today (Thursday), creators will host a Christmas Art Chain – a Facebook Live ‘show and tell’ in which artists from the area will speak about their work and what a Hebden Bridge Christmas means to them. One artist asks another about their work, and as the first leaves the discussion the next joins, with four on the screen at once.

The second event, Hebden Bridge Artists & Makers Christmas Market, is taking place on the social media picture platform Instagram on Friday. Anyone interested in seeing what is on offer should follow the #hebdenmakeschristmas hashtag from 7pm to 9pm.

Kath Baker, who runs Katfish Designs in the West Yorkshire town, said that there has only been about six weeks of physical trading in the town this year because of the floods and virus.
