Overgate Hospice closes charity shop in Calderdale town

The hospice in Elland has confirmed that it will be shutting its shop in Crown Street Hebden Bridge.

A spokesperson for the hospice said: "We are saddened to announce that our Hebden Bridge Charity Shop on Crown Street will permanently close.

"The continued uncertainty due to the pandemic and subsequent reduction in footfall along with the constant risk of further flooding and the effect of this on insurance costs, have forced us to make this decision.

"Our Furniture and Vintage Shop on Valley Road is still open and will now stock an increased range of donations including clothing and bric-a-brac as well as taking any donations of items.

"We would like to thank all of our loyal customers and volunteers for your continued support and we hope to see you soon in one of our other shops."
