These Calderdale schools will be closed following Storm Ciara floods

Storm Ciara has battered Calderdale leaving many homes and business under several feet of water and communities cut off from flooded roads.

Several schools in Calderdale have been hit by the flooding and these schools in the valley have announced their closure tomorrow to assess any damage caused.

Central Street Infant and Nursery School, Hebden Bridge has confirmed it is closed due to flooding. Families will be kept updated.

Riverside Junior School in Hebden Bridge has also confirmed it will be closed.

Stubbings Infant School, Hebden Bridge will open at 10am as storm damage needs assessing and clearing up.

Colden J & I School has confirmed that it will be open and asks people to only travel if safe to do so. If the school decides to close a decision will be made by 7am.
