Parking fee rises announced at Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary
Parking charges at Halifax’s and Huddersfield’s hospitals are going up.
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust has announced the rise in fees today.
They will come into force at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary today and at Calderdale Royal Hospital on Thursday.
The trust say the increase is the first since 2024 and brings its parking charges in line with other regional NHS trusts and increased inflation.

The new charges mean that the first 30 minutes which used to be free to allow drop-offs and pick-ups has been reduced to 20 minutes.
The price for up to two hours of parking has gone up from £3.50 to £4, and for two to four hours from £5.50 to £6.
To park for four to six hours has risen from £7 to £7.50 and for more than six hours from £9 to £9.50.
There is no increase for staff parking and free parking continues to be available for eligible groups including Blue Badge holders.
Work is well underway on a new multi-storey car park at Calderdale Royal Hospital.
Due for completion this year, its completion will bring the number of parking spaces at Calderdale Royal Hospital to around 800.
Included in the plans are electric car charging points, extra blue badge spaces, cycle parking facilities and 24/7 CCTV.
On its Facebook page, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust has said it is close to being able to confirm an opening date for the new facility.
It posted: “As with any major construction project, there are final checks, approvals, and sign-offs to complete. An opening date is expected to be confirmed in the coming month.”
