5. Chocolate
An iconic sight for anyone coming into Halifax train station, the Nestle factory has a deep rooted history in the town. Previously Mackintoshs and the birthplace of Quality Street many residents recall the smell of chocolate.
6. Borough Market
A shining example of Victorian architecture, Halifax Borough Market is home to many local businesses. This indoor market is stunning and so is the wonderful clock that stands proud in the centre.
7. Skiing in Halifax
People from out of town may think that skiing in Halifax would be impossible but the Halifax Ski and Snowboard Centre located out on Bradford Old Road says otherwise.
