9. Dip in the pool
Hot summer days in Halifax, although they may be few and far between, would mean a trip to Manor Heath Park and a dip in the paddling pool. Theres now a wet play park in the pool to entertain youngsters.
10. Halifax Gibbet
Halifax Gibbet. An early guillotine used in the town said to be installed in the 16th century. The unique guillotine-like machine continued to be a punishment petty criminals until the mid-17th century.

If youve lived in Halifax for more than ten years then youll have seen the huge transformation of the Piece Hall. Over several years the iconic landmark has become a vital location in the town.
