Over the years Halifax has seen many bars and nightclubs stand on the streets in the town centre, some which have stood the test of time and others that are no longer with us.
We're taking a look back at some of the most popular venues that revellers have enjoyed over the years - how many do you remember?
Deja Vu on Waterhouse Street was a modern style bar that sat across from the Acapulco nightclub. It's now a chicken restaurant which recently featured in an episode of Channel 4 drama Ackley Bridge. Photo: National World
Gladstones was a bar and nightclub that was located round the back of the Railway. The property was damaged back in 2003following a fire at the Victoria Hotel on Horton Street. Photo: National World
Sitting in a prime position on Lord Street, Hairy Lemon was a popular bar that also served tapas style food. The venue shut back in 2012. Photo: National World
Jumpin Jaks, formerly the ABC cinema, opened its doors in 2002 and was a popular club in the town for almost eight years. It rebranded as The Groove in 2009 but closed its doors less than a year later. The venue is now known as Mcflys. Photo: National World
