The former pub includes three bedrooms with a kitchen and lounge on the first floor and a raised patio at the front that was used as a beer garden.

Pugh managing director Paul Thompson said: “The Red Rooster was a popular pub in its time and we’re looking for someone to give this handsome building a new lease of life.

“In a great location, a mile from Brighouse and its train station, subject to planning consent being gained there are all kinds of new uses the property could be put to, whether as an imaginative residential redevelopment or as a commercial premises.

"It would be fabulous to see the building returned to life in the hands of an innovative buyer.”
