Richard Lee, chairman of CAMRA Halifax and Calderdale, will call into the pub to hand over the certificate.

Richard said: “It is disappointing that we cannot make the usual formal presentation with local CAMRA members in attendance, as well as pub locals and occasional visitors.

"However, the pub should have had its certificate at least three months ago, so it is long overdue.

"As branch Chair, I made the decision that, whilst it cannot be an official CAMRA event, it was important to hand over the framed certificate personally to the pub.

"I will be representing all the local CAMRA members who themselves will not be able to come due to the COVID-19 advice.

"Hopefully at some time, before the end of the year, we will be able to arrange a branch social meeting at the pub to celebrate the award.”
