McCafferty’s Halifax; music, food, drink and special offers

The Irish are renowned for good Craic and great food, and McCafferty’s at Bull Green is no exception.

This bar and restaurant venue opens from breakfast until late, offering those looking for food and drink plenty of choice and with live music, screens for the best sporting action, delicious fresh food, great ales, wines and cocktails, DJs at the weekends and special offers, there is always a reason to return.

Who’s behind McCafferty’s

McCafferty’s, which has a prime spot on Bull Green, Halifax, was established in 2021. The man at the helm is head chef Tony Lewis, who has made Halifax his home for more than 15 years now. He has a real passion for food, which shows in every dish served. All produce is locally sourced and dishes are made fresh to order.

Fabulous food

It offers a comprehensive breakfast menu from the full Irish, to posh porridge, Eggs Benedict to Shakshuka (eggs cooked in a rich tomato sauce with feta cheese).

Lunch offers a range of meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes – with everything from pizzas and burgers to meatballs and seafood linguine. In the evening there are burgers, pastas, pizzas and great loaded dishes too – as well as a range of tempting snacky sides.

McCafferty’s is a haven for vegans with imaginative dishes including chestnut ragu, fennel, courgette and pea risotto or roast celeriac steak on the menu.

On Sunday’s you can go the whole hog with a scrumptious Sunday lunch or pick from the regular lunch menu.

Lunch offers a range of meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes – with everything from pizzas and burgers to meatballs and seafood linguine.

There’s a takeaway menu too.

McCafferty’s employs over 50 people creating local jobs and ensuring the service will be as good as the menu is tasty.

What’s on

There’s live music and live DJS from 8pm every Thursday - Saturday night with live music on from 6.30pm on Sundays.

All major sporting events are shown daily on the many screens around the venue so you need never miss a kick, a hit or a race!

Every Thursday you can treat yourself to cocktails with two for £8.95.

Thursday is also Industry Night with 20% off food and drink for Sunday Session card holders. Ask a member of staff on your next visit.

And kids eat free on Sundays! If you order a Sunday roast from 12pm kids under 10 in your party will eat for free.
