Halifax care home Pocket Garden competition gives prizes for green fingers
Made in anything from an old bucket to a chipped tea cup, the pocket garden trend is one anyone can be part of and the home, in association with Gardenius Nursery, is offering a £200 prize for the most imaginative, as judged by its residents.
Members of the local community are asked to create a pocket garden in the theme of ‘Summer of Joy’, a two-month long celebration of events for the residents, designed to have them enjoying the outdoors, fresh air and friends.
