Vietnamese food in Halifax: Try pho, baguettes and bubble tea

You might not be familiar with Vietnamese food yet, but you most certainly want to be. The Viet Baguette, Yorkshire’s shrine to all things pho and more, has been wowing customers for well over four years; Tripadvisor and Google reviewers are loving it.

What’s on offer?

Hanh Nguyen and her team have put together a mouth-watering menu for both dine-in and take-away customers.

Topping the list as everyone’s favourite is pho, a classic Vietnamese dish. To call pho a soup really doesn’t do it justice; it’s a flavour-filled broth with noodles and sliced meats or vegetables. For some it’s a starter, for others it’s enough of a meal in itself – try them all, find your favourite.

As the name suggests Viet Baguette serves up something very different from standard Asian fayre – and their baguette dishes are delightful. Packed with product and flavour, they’re a handy way to eat food on the go, and oh so filling.

If you prefer something more traditional, dishes such as curries, spring rolls, or the hugely popular take-away taster box will delight.

They also believe they have one of the finest collections of bubble teas in the region – including milk tea, with an array of flavours and topping to make this indulgent non-alcoholic treat a firm favourite.

One reviewer, who left a 5 star rating, said: “Quick family lunch. We ordered bubble tea, summer/fresh rolls chicken noodle stir fry and beef baguette. Wait was fine, food arrived and was delicious. Watched the world go by from seats in the window.”

Another wrote: “We called here to try the bubble tea. I must say it was amazing. The lady behind the counter was very informative and helpful. Next time we visit we will allow time to try the food.”

One who headed their review ‘quality affordable Vietnamese food’ wrote: “Always get the chicken and meat Pho, really good and fresh. Very tasty. The spring rolls are amazing too! Hidden gem this place!”

Over on Google reviews, another said: “Food is always freshly made, their wings are nice and crispy and the staffs are so well mannered as they give you positive vibes would definitely recommend.”
