The festival took place at Southowram Cricket Club and it attracted over 1,000 people to listen to some great local bands, eat some good food and have a fun day.

A number of bands crossing a variety of genres played for the excited crowds including While the Cats Away, the International Party Doctors and Jake Smallbones.

The day started with beautiful sunshine but halfway through there was a torrential downpour which threatened to cut the event short, but people soldiered on and everyone still had a great time.

Sean Liquorish, one of the organisers, said: “It was nice to have everyone there and Ravencliffe school put on a really good performance.

“It was good to have both charities that we were supporting there on the day.”

The charities supported by Ramfest were the Ravenscliffe@Spring Hall project and Calderdale Young Carers and both helped out on the day through performances and stalls.

Organisers would like to thank all of the volunteers and everyone who gave their support to the event.
