Burglars steal thousands of pounds from Wyke bank

Burglars stole thousands of pounds from a bank in Wyke.

Three men pulled up outside Barclays bank, Town Gate, in an Audi estate car, at around 4.20am on Thursday.

They got out of the car tampered with a cash machine, forced their way into the bank and stole cash.

The men then fled the scene towards Brighouse in the car which is thought to have a fake registration plate which read GD14 HDO.

It also had two roof bars at either side and distinctive alloy wheels.

Det Insp Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said: “Enquiries are at an early stage, but we believe this vehicle was seen in the area in the time leading up to the burglary and would appeal for anyone who saw it to contact DC 5013 Jones at Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.”
