Calderdale pharmacy new year opening times

Doctors are encouraging people in Calderdale to plan their healthcare during the new year period.

With advice on common illnesses and the best medicines to treat them, visiting the pharmacist can save you time in the waiting room and help you feel better fast.

Dr Paul Twomey, medical director at NHS England in Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “Your local pharmacy can help you with more than you might think. Pharmacists offer expert, confidential advice and treatment for many minor health problems.

“Many pharmacies will remain open over the new year period, when other routine services may be less available.”

In Halifax the following chemists will be open on New Year’s Day:

Asda: Halifax (11am to 4pm)

King Cross Pharmacy (10am to 7pm)

Sainsbury’s: Halifax (10am to 6pm)

Shelf Pharmacy (10am to noon)

Ryburn Pharmacy (10am to noon)

Wellcare Pharmacy: Rastrick (10am to noon)

The Mini Clinic: Luddenden Foot (2pm to 4pm)
