Calderdale pub reopens today after closing due to coronavirus

A Calderdale pub is reopening this evening after being forced to shut early this week after a customer tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19).

The Shoulder of Mutton, on Carr House Lane, Shelf, flung open its doors to revellers for the first time since March a couple of weeks ago, but had to shut again after the customer contacted the pub this week to alert them that they had tested positive for the deadly virus.

Prior to the venue's reopening, all staff members have been tested for the deadly virus which have come back negative, and the venue has gone through a 'deep clean'.

A spokesman from the pub said: "For all those concerned, every staff member has been tested and the results are negative.

"The building has been fully sanitised and deep cleaned for safety, as before every single people that visits will need to sign in for the Track and Trace system,. Hand sanitisers stations are available upon entry, and on all the exits of the building including the toilets.

"There's also a one-way system in place, please come in the entrance and exit via the side door or smoking area.

"Glasses will be collected from tables, toilets will continue to be regularly cleaned and also the bar area."

.The pub reopens today at 3pm.

This is already currently in place and will be enforced if not adhered to, if social distancing rules are not followed you will be asked to leave.
