There are seven vacancies in five constituencies for MCs and elections are to take place in August 2016.

MCs are the voices of the Trust’s patients and their families in the local communities and they can act as the “eyes and ears” of the public and bring people’s views into the Trust.

Associate Director of Engagement and Inclusion at the Trust, Ruth Mason, said: “Our Membership Council is the Trust’s link to our local communities and its views on all issues are very important to us as we try to provide the best care for our patients and their families.”

There is one vacancy in Brighouse, Elland, Greetland, Stainland and Rastrick.

Briefing sessions for prospective candidates will be at The Medium Training Room at Calderdale Royal Infirmary on May 23 at 6pm and The Board Room, at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary on May 25 at 6pm.
