Couple hoping to win dream wedding

Best man Jonny Handley entered Brighouse couple Damon Ambler and Samantha Braithwaite into the competition and they are now down to the final three contestants.

They have now been set the task of raising as much money as possible for Kirkwood hospice before October 15.

Damon said: “Kirkwood is an amazing charity which does great work for people will terminal illnesses.

“My best man Jonny’s grandma was a patient that had her final days in Kirkwood hospice. This already has given us extra motivation to raise more money for them.”

The couple have been together for seven years and engaged for over a year.

Damon explained that they hope by winning the event it will give family and friends a boost after Samantha lost her dad Kevin two years ago.

“His death came as a huge shock. Winning this competition would finally give family and friends something to celebrate.

“This competition is an incredible opportunity for us to get the wedding of our dreams. We want to do as much as possible to try and win it,” he said.

If successful they will be married at the Great Victoria Hotel in Bradford.

This Saturday and Sunday the couple are fund raising at Tesco in Brighouse.

There will be a bake sale in the entrance to the store and they will be help customers with their bag packing.

“We have had great support so far and want to keep the support going,” added Damon.
