Crews from six stations called to Halifax house fire

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a house in Halifax last night.

Teams from six fire stations were deployed to the fire in the roof of the home on Woodside View in Boothtown at 8.35pm.

Crews from Illingworth, Rastrick, Cleckheaton, Halifax, Mutholmroyd and Huddersfield attended, along with an aerial appliance.

Yesterday was an incredibly busy day for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, with more than 2,300 calls in 24 hours.
