Air ambulance attends at serious crash on Rochdale Road
The air ambulance had to be called follwing the smash involving a Mini and a Renault Clio and the road was closed for several hours.
The incident occurred at around 6.15pm on Saturday (June 22) on Rochdale Road, Walsden, close to the Bird I’ Th’ Hand pub, when the two cars crashed travelling in opposite directions.

Hide AdA 22-year-old woman was driving the Mini and had to be extracted by emergency services after becoming trapped.
She was taken in the air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries but is now said to be in a stable condition.
The driver of the Renault Clio was a 53-year-old man and his passenger, a woman in her fifties, was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital with serious injuries butpolice say she is now stable.
The road was closed while the Mini driver was extracted and remain closed until around midnight.
Officers are now investigating the cause of the accident and have asked any witnesses or anyone with information to contact PC1786 Glover, of the Western Area Roads Policing Team, by phoning 101.
