Appeal for witnesses in Brighouse

Police are trying to identify a woman and teenage girl who may be able to assist in an ongoing investigation in to the theft of a vehicle in Brighouse.

They visited Kwik Fit in Brighouse sometime between 4pm and 4.30pm on Saturday, October 5, for minor repairs to the exhaust of the woman’s vehicle.

During this time, they have made enquiries in the Black Bull Hotel in Brighouse about some car keys that were found in the hotel car park. It is not clear what has then happened to these keys but a vehicle was later reported as stolen from the location.

The woman and teenage girl have left the area in their vehicle and there is no suggestion that they have stolen the other vehicle.

The pair, or anyone else who may have information that could assist the ongoing investigation, are asked to contact DC 345 Craig Aubrey at Halifax CID on 101. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
