Arrests after Harrogate supermarket scrap

Two people were arrested after a fight at a Harrogate supermarket last night (Wednesday, July 29).

Police were called to Asda on Bower Road at around 9pm on Wednesday 29 July 2015 after reports of an altercation.

Shoppers looked on in horror as two people screamed and shouted at each another in the aisles.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested at the scene after another woman was allegedly scratched. She was later charged with assault and is due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on August 13, 2015.

A 36-year-old man was charged with using threatening behaviour. He is also due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on August 13, 2015.
