Axe wielding robbers steal cash in Brighouse convenience shop raid

A shop worker was threatened with an axe during a robbery in Brighouse yesterday evening (Tuesday).

At around 6.35pm, two suspects entered a convenience store on Charles Street and threatened a worker in the shop.

The first suspect jumped over the counter while the second threatened the worker with an axe.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was ordered to open the till and the suspects then made off with a quantity of cash.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed two men acting suspiciously in the area to contact police.

Officers would also like to hear from anyone who saw two men fleeing the area.
