Crackdown on Calderdale drug dealing see pair caught with cannabis around market stalls

Police officers in Calderdale found two males in possession of a class b drug during evening patrols around a Calderdale market.

Officers from teh Calderdale valleys Neighbourhood Policing team and the Special Constabulary conducted patrols following complaints from residents in relation to drug use/ drug dealing and anti-social behaviour

The teams focused the market stalls in Sowerby Bridge and Crow Wood Car Park.

During the evening of February 14, neighbourhood officers attended the market stalls in Sowerby Bridge.

A spokesperson for the neighbourhood policing team said: "Two males were found to be in possession of a class b drug (Cannabis) after being stop/searched.

"One male was dealt with by means of an out of court disposal and a community resolution issued with conditions attached to it. The other male will be interviewed at the police station in due course about the offence."
