Driver faces disqualification after being caught speeding down Halifax rat run

A driver was caught speeding at 31mph above the legal limit in Halifax.

Officers from the Halifax Neighbourhood Policing Team were carrying out checks along Jumples Crag/Crag.

One driver was caught speeding at 51mph in the 20mph zone.

A spokesperson for the NPT said: "One driver felt it appropriate to travel at 51 mph. He was quickly informed that it is NOT appropriate by the way of a ticket issued for speeding.

"The male already had nine points on his license along with historical dangerous driving and driving disqualifications so he must have the need for speed.

"He is in a spot of bother once he gets another six points for this offence and is likely to be disqualified."
