The driver was fined by officers on November 15 and another driver was reported for driving at 50mph in a 30mph zone.

As part of the safety checks officers also addressed issues such as defective headlights and vehicle tyres.

Motorists were issued with ‘VDRS’ forms which means that they have to get these defects repaired within 14 days.

As long as the defects are repaired then no action is taken by West Yorkshire Police.
