Family heirlooms stolen in Todmorden jewellery raid

Police are appealing for witnesses after tens of thousands of pounds of jewellery was stolen from a Todmorden house.

The burglary happened at a property near Hey Head Lane between 2.20am and 2.45am on December 30 and thieves escaped with family heirlooms including: a ruby and diamond engagement ring (pictured), ruby and diamond engagement and wedding rings (pictured); a pair of diamond stud earrings (pictured); and a diamond encrusted cross and diamond encrusted earrings (pictured). They also took an 18 carat white gold diamond and sapphire bracelet (pictured); matching diamond and sapphire earring (pictured); a Tag Heuer mid size Kirium CL1211.BA0705 watch with anti-reflective sapphire crystals; a Tag Heuer Link WAT1110.BA0950 watch.

Detective Constable Craig Aubrey, of Calderdale CID, said: “Among the stolen items were a number of family heirlooms of huge sentimental value that quite simply cannot be replaced.

“We would urge anyone who has been offered such items or seen such items for sale to get in contact.
