Halifax attack ouside takeaway leaves man with serious face and leg injuries

Police in Calderdale are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault of a man in Halifax.

At around 12.37am on Monday May 3, police were called to reports of an assault outside a fast-food takeaway on Crown Street, Halifax.

Officers attended and found a man with serious injuries to his face and leg.

The victim, a man in his thirties, was taken to hospital. His injuries were serious but not believed to be life threatening.

A number of active lines of enquiry are being carried out in relation to the incident.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have been in or around the area of Crown Street at the time and date given above or that may have seen any suspicious activity that may assist with enquiries to contact police.
