Halifax attack sees man taken to hospital with head injuries

A man was taken to hospital after being attacked in the early hours of this morning.

Police are investigating an assault which happened between 3.45am and 4.10am on Regent Street in Halifax.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed the victim, a 28-year-old man, has been taken to hospital with head injuries.

It is believed his injuries are not thought to be serious.

A scene is in place on Regent Street and Kings Cross Road/Parkinson Lane whilst enquiries continue.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody at this time.
