Halifax man in dock accused of abducting four children in Blackpool

A Halifax man accused of abducting four children in Blackpool has made his first appearance in court.

Waseem Adalat is alleged to have abducted the children, aged between 10 and 14, in 2018.

The 33-year-old, of Balmoral Place, Halifax, appeared before District Judge Jane Goodwin at Blackpool Magistrates Court.

He denied the offences, which he described in court as "nonsense accusations".

Adalat was bailed on condition he does not contact witnesses or enter Blackpool.

He will appear at Preston Crown Court on March 25.
