Heartless raiders steal computer tablets from new multi-million pound Halifax school

An investigation is underway after heartless burglars broke into a Halifax primary school and stole teaching equipment.

The burglary happened at the new Moorside Community Primary School in Ovenden on Friday night (November 16).

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "The burglary is believed to have occurred at around 10.05pm. The suspects gained entry to the school, before making a search of the premise and making off with a number of items.

"Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area, including CCTV enquiries.

"Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or has any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference 13180576819."
