Lightcliffe woman in court on child neglect charges and drug allegations

A Lightcliffe woman has appeared in court on charges of child neglect in relation to her three youngsters.

The woman, who cannot be identified to protect the identities of the children, has denied that she neglected the youngsters and a trial date has been fixed for January 13 next year.

She made her first appearance before a judge at Bradford Crown Court today (Friday) for a preliminary hearing and was told that she would have to return to the crown court on November 18.

The woman, who also faces allegations relating to the possession of heroin and cocaine, will be asked to enter her pleas to the charges at the hearing in November.

Judge John Potter granted the woman bail until November 18.
