Police stop female walking on M62 in bid to get from Brighouse to Halifax
Police have stopped a woman who was trying to use the M62 as a quick way of walking from Brighouse to Halifax.
The pedestrian was reported walking along the westbound carriageway at junction 24 at 7.59am this morning (Tuesday).
She was stopped by police and taken off the motorway at 8.13am.
Sergeant Nigel Fawcett-Jones of the Western Area Road Policing Team said the woman believed walking along the M62 was the quickest was to get from Brighouse to Halifax.
