More mowing equipment has been stolen in Calderdale.

The Courier reported earlier this month how a large Billy Goat lawnmower was among £5,000-worth of equipment stolen from the HQ of Lightcliffe Scouts, on Coach Road in Lightcliffe.

Now, thieves have hit Siddal Rugby League Club.

The culprits took grounds staff equipment from the popular club on Exley Lane last night (Monday,October 23), including mowers.

The club says the equipment stolen were two Dennis G860 machines and cartridges, and a Sthil blower.

It posted: “Unfortunately overnight the groundstaff equipment has been attacked and mowers and other equipment stolen.

"Please make the mowers too hot to handle! All local sports clubs please be vigilant.”
