Teenager in Huddersfield street robbery

Police in Huddersfield are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed on Chapel Hill on Tuesday September 23.

The incident happened at 8.05pm when the male was stood at a bus stop between the junctions of Milford Street and Chapel Street. He was approached by two males wearing masks.

They then threatened him and took his Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, a small quantity of cash and a packet of cigarettes before making off on foot up Chapel Hill and on to Chapel Street.

The first male officers want to speak to in connection with the incident is described as being of slim build, 5ft 7inches tall and wearing a black hooded top with the hood up. The strings on the top were tied and he was also wearing a bandana and black jogging bottoms. He spoke with a local accent.

The second male officers want to speak to is described as having broad shoulders, 5ft 7inches tall, of medium build. He was also wearing a bandana and a black coloured Nike branded hooded top and greyish black tracksuit bottoms.

Detective Constable Andy Clayton of Huddersfield CID, said: “This was a particularly frightening experience for the young victim and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed it to contact police on 101.”
