Three men sent down for wide range of offences

The following Calderdale men have been sent to prison for various offences.

Aleem Ghani was sentenced to was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment for the offences of: assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm; wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm; assault by beating x 2; possessing a controlled drug of Class A - crack; and supplying a controlled drug - Class A - cocaine.

Ghani was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on May 21. The Crown prosecutor in the case was Mr David MacKay and the investigating officers in the case were DC Darren Heald and DC Rebecca Lawrence.

In a different case, which was dealt with at the same court on the same day, Daniel Peter Geddes was jailed for 21 months for a Southowram burglary.

The Crown Prosecutor was Miss Clare Benson and the investigating officer in the case was DC Marcus Southwell.

Meanwhile, at Bradford Crown Court on Mat 16, Mark McPhee was sent down for six months for an assault in Halifax.

The Crown prosecutor was Mr David Lampitt and the investigating officer in the case was PC Steven Durrans.
