Valuable tractor stolen from Ripponden farm

A valuable tractor has been stolen from a farm in Ripponden.

Police are appealing for anyone who has seen the vehicle, pictured, which is a New Holland T5060, after it was taken from a farm on the outskirts of Ripponden, just off Rochdale Road between 7pm on Sunday March 15 and 7am on Monday March 16.

It is thought that the tractor, which at the time had the registration YJ59 DPN and is blue in colour, was seen at 4.32am travelling in the direction of Rochdale.

The vehicle has a yellow sticker inside with the logo “SALERS” on and is equipped with a loader and bale squeeze.

Sergeant Craig Robinson of the Calderdale Valleys Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Tractors are the lifeblood of rural communities and I would appeal to anyone who saw this tractor being taken or is offered a tractor for sale in a deal that ‘sounds too good to be true’ to get in contact, particularly anyone in the Lancashire area.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
